Having previously employed the services of a garden designer when we bought some extra land a few years ago (and having experienced the benefits of an experts 'vision') it was not a difficult decision for us to look to an interior designer for the same expertise when planning inside the home.
We have recently undertaken quite a major internal restructure (turning three rooms into one along with incorporating a balcony back into the house.
Gail was recommended to us by some friends, after having worked on several projects with them over the years. She was instrumental in the design and from the start, came up with ideas and thoughts that wouldn’t have occurred to us - pointing out and highlighting the best features of our property to ensure that these were maximised to the full (and wasn’t afraid to say why she thought some of our ideas might not be such good ones!).
She quickly understood our taste and what we were ultimately trying to achieve in the sense of how we wanted to use the space. She kept us on track with the project (when we were talking about cushions, she would draw us back to focus on the basics first!) and ultimately helped us deliver the final result which we are thrilled with.
Although we lived some distance from her, she worked remotely sending ideas, thoughts and suggestions and made several site visits to discuss ideas and help us make decisions.
We loved working with her, respected and took her advice and i wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her services to anyone for either a domestic or business project.
